Description: The original of this duplicate medallion was given to my wife's grandffather sometimes after 1903 when he was conscripted into the Russian Army. Could someone shed some light on the medallion itself and help translate the writing on this and the reverse side (subsequent photo). Jeffrey M. Dreifuss
