Kremenets is located about 213 miles west of Kiyev. There's an active group, the Kremenets Shtetl Co-op, obtaining and researching records from Kremenets.
The Kremenets Co-op has translated vital records (1870-1907), Yizkor Books, cemetery gravestones, and many, many other documents. To search their information, they recommend you begin with their "Indexed Concordance of Personal Names and Town Names."
They have many more pages, documents, and databases available useful for not only Kremenets, but for general genealogy research as well. These include:
"Surnames: Hebrew and Russian Images and their Transliterations", which contains images of both Hebrew and Russian surnames extracted from 19th century vital records. There are over 1,100 different surnames, many with multiple spelling variations.
