CAHJP Docs
- Hadassah ASSOULINE: Hadassah Assouline Director of the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People at Hebrew University in Jerusalem has acquired and provided to the Kremenets District Research Group about 15,000 pages of vital records from Ukrainian Archives that the LDS have not microfilmed.
- Yoni KUPCHIK: Yoni Kupchik photographed 461 catalog cards for Odessa at the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People.
- Benjamin LUKIN: Benjamin Lukin of the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People at Hebrew University in Jerusalem has been instrumental in acquiring vital records from Ukrainian Archives that the LDS have not microfilmed.
- Israel PICKHOLTZ: Israel photographed more than 500 town-based catalog cards at the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People (CAHJP)
- Susan SOBEL: Susan has been obtaining documents acquired by CAHJP from the archives in Ukraine. About 200 documents for Kremenets district towns have been identified and about 90 acquired.
Document Donation
- Faith KLEIN: Faith donated a 90 page booklet, "Extermination of the Jews in Vinnitsa Oblast, 1914-1944. The booklet is in Russian.
- Beatrice MARKEL: Beatrice donated revision lists for Roshev and Khabno from Ukraine Archives that contain her family names. She had a researcher in Ukraine obtain and translate the revision list records.
Passenger Ship Manifest Re-indexing
The Ellis Island Database folks did not index two important sets of fields, the person and address at the immigrant's destination, and, the person and ancestral town left behind in the old country. This project extracts those two datasets and indexes them.
- Susan SOBEL: Susan is developing a PowerPoint tutorial to teach volunteers how to do town-based extractions of passenger manifests and re-index them to include the fields that the Ellis Island Foundation did not index (person and address at destination and person left behind in the ancestral town). Susan also has been providing assistance to volunteers working on these town-based projects.

Russian Language Websites
We are extracting, reviewing and cataloging datasets that appear on several Russian language websites. When we find datasets that are relevant to our work we will ask permission from their owners to index and post them.
- Marlis HUMPHREY: Marlis developed our Catalog of Russian Language websites and manages the volunteers who are extracting documents and entering them into the Catalog.
- Tara LEVIN: Tara serves as Ukraine SIG's liaison to Russian language websites. She also helps translate Russian to English.
- Ariel PARKANSKY: Ariel helped review and catalog documents on the Russian language websites.
- Marilyn ROBINSON: Marilyn has extracted and described more than 500 documents and links from Russian Language websites.
Survey Forms
- Joseph BEKINSCHTEIN: Joseph input survey results from the printed forms that were distributed at the 2011 IAJGS Conference.
- Carol CLINGAN: Carol reviewed the drafts of our surveys and offered helpful advice.
- Phyllis COHEN: Phyllis reviewed the drafts of our surveys and offered helpful advice.
- Bobby FURST: Bobby worked on our Town Name Standardization Project as part of the website restructuring effort.
- Avraham GROLL: Avraham Groll, JewishGen’s Director of Business Operations, suggested that we use a Google online survey template for our surveys. He guided us through the process of creating our first Survey.
- Hilary HENKIN: Hilary reviewed the drafts of our surveys and offered helpful advice.

Translation Projects
- Andrew S. (Steve) BUSHKIN: Steve extracted and translated Russian language entries for Jews in the Encyclopedia of Names, Kharkov province.
- Beth CHAPLIN: Beth transliterated the Necrology from a 90 page booklet, "Extermination of the Jews in Vinnitsa Oblast, 1914-1944. The booklet is in Russian.
- Allan DOLGOW: Allan obtained a copy of the 1795 Ostrog Revision Lists.
- Ola HESKA: Ola translated the 1795 revision lists (censuses) for Ostrog for Mel Werbach. She is a professional translator.
- Jack HORBAL: Jack translated CAHJP documents and CAHJP Catalog Cards from Polish to English.
- Michelle KANTER: Michelle Kanter worked with Wayne Frankel to translate a 1919 Pogrom List for Trostyanets. The list is in Hebrew and Yiddish and has 299 names on 22 pages. She also has translated CAHJP Catalog Cards from Yiddish to English.
- Alex KOPELBERG: Alex translated (from Russian to English) a Chabad Burial List from one of the Zhitomir Cemeteries. He also translated Hebrew inscriptions of Zhitomir gravestones and integrated results with the Burial List translations.
- Yoni KUPCHIK: Yoni helped translate Hebrew notations in the 1795 Ostrog Revision Lists (Censuses) and a Book with Odessa Tombstones Inscriptions. He also translated from Hebrew to English 1,662 entries from the prenumeranten list in Sefer Imri Shmuel.
- Julia LOMBARDO: Julia extracted and translated Russian language entries for Jews in the Encyclopedia Names, Kharkov province.
- Natalie POLTAVSKA: Natalie extracted and translated Russian language entries for Jews in the Encyclopedia Names, Kharkov province.
- Marsha RAPP: Marsha helped translate Hebrew notations in the 1795 Ostrog Revision Lists (Censuses).
- Jane ROLLINS: Jane translated (from Russian to English) a Chabad Burial List from one of the Zhitomir Cemeteries.
- Bena SHKLYANOY: Bena extracted and translated Russian language entries for Jews in the Encyclopedia Names, Kharkov province.
- Stanislav SPEKTOR: Stanislav is translating (Russian and Hebrew to English) a large number of vital records from Kyiv district towns.
- Mel WERBACH: Mel organized a translation project (Polish and Russian to English) and raised funds to pay a professional translator.
Ukraine SIG Board
- Hal BOOKBINDER: Hal is Ukraine SIG's Special Projects Director. He is lending his geographic expertise to our towns projects.
- Linda CANTOR: Linda is Ukraine SIG's Communications Director. She created our Facebook page and moderates our Discussion List.
- Ron DOCTOR: Ron is Ukraine SIG Coordinator.
- Marlis HUMPHREY: Marlis is Ukraine SIG's Projects Director. She created our Catalog of Russian Webpages and manages the volunteers working on the Catalog.
- Victor MILLER: Victor is Ukraine SIG Director for Outreach in Ukraine.
- Ariel PARKANSKY: Ariel is Ukraine SIG's Website Manager. He designed and restructured our new website. He serves on the SIG's Board of Directors.
- Bena SHKLYANOY: Bena was appointed to the Ukraine SIG Board in June 2012 as Translation Projects and Data Director.
- Chuck WEINSTEIN: Chuck is Ukraine SIG's Towns and Districts Director. He has built up our cadre of Town Leaders and new KehilaLinks Owners. He also moderates our Discussion List.
Ukraine SIG Discussion List
The Ukraine SIG Mailing List is a moderated list. Our list moderators are volunteers. They check messages for proper formatting, ensure that the List operates smoothly, and occasionally respond to messages.

- Sandra CRYSTALL: Sandy has been working with Ariel to ensure that towns are assigned to the proper 1900 districts.

- Pamela LUCAS: Pamela invested a great amount of time and skills on the website restructuring project. She developed the clickable maps that the website features.
- Ariel PARKANSKY: Ariel is Ukraine SIG’s Website Manager. He gave his incredible skills, insight, and time commitment to the 4 month-long process to restructure our website. He displayed enormous patience … and flexibility … dealing with my frequent requests for features that were not always reasonable, wise or do-able. The entire website structure was Ariel’s concept.

Ukraine SIG-Sponsored KehilaLinks
Creation of KehilaLinks websites until an "Owner" is found.
- Richard BAUM: Richie created several SIG-sponsored KehilaLinks websites including Boguslav, Kyiv, Ostrog, Uman, and Zhitomir and transferred content from the "old" SIG pages to the new KehilaLinks sites.

- Hilary HENKIN: Hilary kept the old website updated as we moved toward a transition to the new one.
Yizkor Book Indexing
- Bruce DRAKE: Bruce was one of the first to use Ellen Garshick's YB Indexing Tutorial. He was able to produce an index of the partial translation of the Kovel Yizkor Books and other Kovel material within a couple of weeks.
- Ellen GARSHICK: Ellen developed an excellent PowerPoint tutorial to teach volunteers how to create a name and town index for Yizkor Book translations. She also has devoted considerable time to helping volunteers who wish to index their Yizkor Book translations. The tutorial is equally applicable to other indexing projects, like indexing all the personal names and town names that appear on KehilaLinks pages.
