Previously, for all addresses of the congregation (except for Queens Road) the local authority was East Ham, being the Urban District of East Ham from 1894 to 1904 and the Municipal Borough of East Ham from 1904 to 1915, both geographically and administratively within the County of Essex. The County Borough of East Ham, a unitary authority geographically (although not administratively) within the County of Essex, was created in 1915.
Queens Road was in West Ham, which from 1886 to 1889 was the Municipal Borough of West Ham, geographically and administratively within the County of Essex, and from 1889 to 1965 was the County Borough of West Ham, a unitary authority geographically (although not administratively) within the County of Essex.
In 1965, the County Borough of East Ham and the County Borough of West Ham were together merged with some adjoining areas to form the London Borough Newham.
