Palmers Green Jewish Community The Palmers Green Jewish community began to organise in 1926, holding services in hired halls. Later on, services were held at a house in Palmerston Road. A permanent building was erected in Brownlow Road in 1936. This was destroyed by enemy action in 1944 but was rebuilt in 1947. A further reconstruction took place in 1954. The building was extended in 1977
