Name of SIG or JewishGen Project: H-SIG 1848 Census Project

Robert has been the project coordinator of the 1848 census project since mid-2002.  This is a key census project, since it was a census of Jews in Hungary. He has managed a large team of volunteers and reviewed every one of the over 81,000 records published in the AHD. He is continuing to coordinate this project even though all records filmed by the FHL have been completed, but coordinating the transcription of additional records obtained from the Hungarian National Archives.
