Name of SIG or
JewishGen Project: Holocaust Database, JOWBR |
Nolan wears many hats and has over the years taken on any task which I offered him. He is uncommonly well-organized, and develops tracking mechanisms for complex projects. Currently he is the JOWBR Technical Coordinator: he maintains the administrative files, assigns volunteers to translate tombstone inscriptions, and uploads files for Warren and Michael to process. He is also a coordinator of the JewishGen Holocaust Database: he took over the Dachau data entry project and brought it to fruition, managing dozens of volunteers and tens of thousands of images. Nolan helps to revise spreadsheets and to write introductions to the databases. His management skills have helped keep everything running. Nolan is also almost single-handedly indexing the cemeteries in Long Island, NY. Nolan is vital to the success of the many projects under the “Research” group of JewishGen. His technical and human relations skills in managing projects and people are extraordinary. |
