Lance has been with the Yizkor Book Project since its inception in 1997.  Without his work as Permissions Coordinator, the Project would not have got off the ground.  It is through his sole efforts that we were able to get permission from the Israeli landsmanschaftn, headed by elderly Holocaust survivors who knew nothing of computers or of the Internet.  Through his patient and calm explanations we were able to get their written permission. 

As the Project grew, the original htmler and the website coordinator could no longer keep up with the work.  Lance said he always wanted to learn how to html and within a week he was up to speed and had volunteers working under him.  He did the same with taking over the website.

His html skills are often used by others in JewishGen.  He never refuses anyone.

I can honestly say that without Lance the YB Project would not have thrived.  I consider him an invaluable member of the team.
