JRI - POLAND: POLISH STATE ARCHIVES PROJECT
Indices for previously unavailable records
The goal of the Jewish Records Indexing - Poland
milestone
agreement with the Polish State Archives is
to index all Jewish vital records more than 100
years old in the Polish State Archives that are
not included in the microfilm collection of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the
Mormons). Copies of these records are available
from the Polish State Archives.

Mława
Polish State Archives (PSA) Project - Announcing Phase 2
The first group of records indexed
under the Mława Archives
project was funded and went online in
1999. Generally, data from this project
included indices to records up to the then
available last year of 1897.
As a part of a second phase of the Mława
archives project, data entry is now almost
complete for all currently available records up
to and including 1902 (see table below).
As the phase 2 fundraising target is reached
for each town, the data will be processed and the
indices will become available on-line. See the Project Status
page for the current fundraising status for towns
in the Mława archives project.
For the latest information about projects to index
the records at other branches of the Polish State
Archives, read the JRI-Poland / Polish State
Archives project pages and subscribe to the
JRI-Poland mailing list http://www.jri-poland.org/join.htm

Notes: Fond Ref# = Document/Record group.
Akt# = Document number.
Surviving records less than 100 years old are held in the Civil Records Offices (Urzad Stanu Cywilnego)
of each town.
For information on the 20th century records available for your town, visit the
Routes to Roots Foundation website,
CLICK ON THE 'SEARCH DATABASE' button (on the right side) and enter the town name.
Look for the town name in the Repository/City column of the search results. There are typically links to
lists of available births, marriage and death records for the town.
Note, however, the Routes to Roots Foundation database may indicate turn of the century records that have already been
transferred to the appropriate branch of the Polish State Archives where they can be indexed for the
JRI-Poland database.
JRI-Poland is an independent non-profit tax-exempt Organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
