You have indicated an interest in vital records
with SURNAMES from one of the above towns or your
search of the JRI
- Poland database has produced a list of vital
records with SURNAMES from these towns. Please
note the following announcement and instructions
regarding these towns and/or the noted records:
JRI - POLAND : POLISH STATE ARCHIVES PROJECT
Indices for previously unavailable records
The goal of the Jewish Records Indexing - Poland milestone agreement with the Polish State Archives is to
index all Jewish vital records more than 100 years
old in the Polish State Archives that are not
included in the microfilm collection of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the
Mormons). Copies of these records are available
from the Polish State Archives.
Łowicz Polish State Archives (PSA) project
Indexing is proceeding on an archive by archive basis and data entry is now up-to-date for the towns with Jewish vital records in the Łowicz branch of the Polish State Archives.
As the fundraising target is reached for each
town, the data is processed and the indices will
become available on-line. See the Project
Status page for the current fundraising status
for the towns in the Łowicz archives project. Fundraising targets will be added as information on the cost of each town project becomes available.
For more information on the records for your town(s) in the Lowicz Archives project, please contact Archive Coordinator Roni Liebowitz at roni19@optonline.net.
