Please note the following announcement and instructions regarding these towns and/or the noted records: JRI - POLAND : POLISH STATE ARCHIVES PROJECT Indices for previously unavailable records The goal of the Jewish Records Indexing - Poland milestone agreement with the Polish State Archives is to index all Jewish vital records more than 100 years old in the Polish State Archives that are not included in the microfilm collection of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons). Copies of these records are available from the Polish State Archives. Access the special instructions regarding the order form. Please read these instructions. Read about the up-to-date status of the JRI-Poland / PSA project. Kutno Polish State Archives (PSA) project: Indexing is proceeding on an archive by archive basis. Data entry is now complete for the Żychlin Books of Residents. The Kutno Books of Residents project is now underway. Other projects will follow. After fundraising for each town has been completed and the data has been processed, it will become available on-line. See the Project Status page for the current status of the fundraising for the towns in the Kutno branch of the Polish State Archives. Other sources of records for towns in Kutno Archives Kutno 1830 - 1840 Death records On June 15, 2001, the extracts to more than 1,600 deaths in the 1830 to 1840 death register from the Jewish community of Kutno were added to the JRI-Poland database. The story behind this project is a unique one and once more illustrates how cooperation between dedicated individuals and important resources all come together for the benefit of researchers. Several years ago, private researcher Petje Schroder (Lodz, Poland) volunteered to fully extract and enter the data from these records as a contribution to the work of the Ronald S. Lauder Genealogy Project at the Jewish Historical Institute (JHI). It was Petje's way of expressing her appreciation for the cooperation received from Yale Reisner and his staff in the course of her activities. All researchers with an interest in Kutno and nearby towns and villages are the beneficiaries of Petje's generosity. For more information on the 1830 - 1840 Kutno death records, click here:
