While the Polish State Archives has holdings of many different types of records, there are several that are of great genealogical interest. Although they are not complete and often very sporadic in terms of towns and years, Marriage Annexes and Marriage Banns – where they exist - can be a treasure for those researchers who find connections in them.

The Annexes and Banns are rarely indexed. So, once more, branch archivists will do the indexing for us. However, work can’t start on these holdings until all the civil records in the branch have been indexed and the errata cleaned up.
