Creative use of the Search System

Our web site, our Frequently Asked Questions, and our documentation, all emphasize that the JRI-Poland database is a research tool. It’s an important FIRST step in finding clues to locating references to family from among the millions of Jewish vital records for hundreds of Polish towns and villages.
But, as all the records for some towns and groups of nearby towns get indexed, and as the span of years they cover increases, the potential for creative use of initial JRI-Poland searches can be dramatic. I have made important discoveries while I was just preparing to look at records.
