The
Congregation was formed by 1947 (based upon early appearance in
Jewish Year Book), reputedly as a breakaway synagogue from
Prestwich Hebrew Congregation,
"Shrubberies", Bury New Road. In the mid/late1950's, the
Congregation appears to have became inactive, as it ceased to be
listed in the Jewish Year Book, and only re-appeared in the
mid-1970's. |
