Date Founded: There was a Spital Street congregation mentioned in the first Jewish Year Book of 1896-1897.  However, for a period in the early part of the 20th century there was no mention of the congregation in the Year Books, although the name had reappeared by 1916.
Current Status: Closed, after 1930.
