Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain – Transcribers & Copyright

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain (JGSGB) is extremely grateful to all those who have transcribed data, and have donated or licensed such data to JGSGB for website display.  Without the efforts of these transcribers, we would not be able to make this most useful data publicly available for the benefit of researchers worldwide.  Often the datasets provided to JGSGB need to be reformatted so that they work effectively with our database search engine to provide easy search facilities, and the efforts of those who have reformatted the datasets are also acknowledged

The copyright of the transcriptions remains vested in the licensor or donor (who is normally the transcriber) and is indicated in the table below   The transcriptions may not be copied or reproduced in any format without the permission of the copyright holder.  If you need further information about the copyright of any specific record or dataset then please initially contact our Databases Manager
