Notes & Sources ( returns to text above)

  • (i) Report on Masorti Olami's website 11 February 2010.

  • (ii) Report on Masorti Olami's website 2 April 2010. There was some controversy regarding this move, as Garnethill is an orthodox synagogue and although the Masorti congregation was only renting a large room, there was concern in orthodox circles that it would give the impression that Garnethill had become a Masorti synagogue.

  • (iii) Jewish Year Books. 2012 through 2014.

  • (iv) The Masorti Olami report in Note (i) above. The congregation's first listing was in the Jewish Year Book 2011.

  • (v) Based upon the congregation being last listed in the Jewish Year Book 2014. However, it may have became defunct somewhat earlier, as it did not appear in Masorti Judaism's annual report for year ended 31 August 2013, which listed Masorti congregation as of 1 January 2012.
