He is an honorary life member of the 1st Polish Armoured Division.

Jewish Chronicle, 24 September 2004, page 36 Obituary of Sylvia Garelick, born Ammanford, 16 November 1916, died Cardiff 31 July 2004 aged 87. Youngest of 5 children of Morris Cohen, an immigrant from Skud, Lithuania, who married Ellen Fine at Tredegar in 1902. The family moved to Cardiff just before WWII. Sylvia became the only woman law student at Swansea. She was a solicitor, articled to her brother Myer Cohen. In 1948 she married Saul Garelick, a Cardiff solicitor who died in 2001.
