Councillor Morris Cohen has been for 14 years a member of Ammanford UDC and its only Jewish Chairman. He was guest of honour at a dinner held last week at the Castle Hotel. He spoke and mentioned he had lived there for 33 years.

At recent meeting of the Ammanford Chamber of Trade a presentation was made to Morris Cohen who prior to retirement was sometime Chairman of the Ammanford UDC and active on the Council and one time chairman of the Chamber of Trade. Autograph album accepted by his son I. Cohen in absence of father.

He now lives in Cardiff Two of his children, Myer and Sylvia, are both prominent solicitors and social workers.
