“The Addlestone Federated Synagogue Hebrew classes held a
prize distribution at which Mr. H. Cohen presided, and the prizes - the cost of
which were defrayed by Mr. M. Kalisky - were presented by D. Caplan. Speakers
included Mrs. Caplan, on behalf of the Ladies’ Guild, Messrs. J. Kohn, P.
Stern, and the two teachers, M.E. Feldman and A. Schonfeld. Appeals were also
launched for the Chief Rabbi’s Food and Clothing Scheme and the Board of
Deputies’ Defence Fund Appeal.”
