The Addlestone (Surrey) Jewish Congregation held their first meeting on Sunday  at “Southam,” Addlestone Park (by permission  of Mr. H. Cohen). Residents of Addlestone and Chertsey desirous of further information should communicate with Mr. J. Kohn (Hon. Secretary), 8, Lime Grove, Addlestone.”

The Jewish Congregation of Addlestone and District resolved at a meeting held on Sunday last that a Federation Group of the Federation of Synagogues be formed and that services be held at the Baptist Church, Church Oak Road (sic), Addlestone. The Addlestone Federated Synagogue Hebrew classes held a prize distribution at which Mr. H. Cohen presided, and the prizes - the cost of which were defrayed by Mr. M. Kalisky - were presented by D. Caplan. Speakers included Mrs. Caplan, on behalf of the  Ladies’ Guild, Messrs. J. Kohn, P. Stern, and the two teachers, M.E. Feldman and A. Schonfeld. Appeals were also launched for the Chief Rabbi’s Food and Clothing Scheme and the Board of Deputies’ Defence Fund Appeal.”
