Here are additional statistics, looking at the name adaptations from the opposite direction -- what were the Hebrew names of those with particular English names. These statistics are useful when researching backwards in time, i.e. asking "What was the Hebrew name of my ancestor who took the American name X?"

For example, of those with the American name 'Aaron' or 'Aron', 92% had the Hebrew name 'Aharon' (the language equivalent name), while 8% had the Hebrew name 'Arya'. Of those with the American name 'Arthur', 40% had the Hebrew name 'Avraham', 24% had the Hebrew name 'Aharon', and smaller percentages were 'Asher' and 'Arya'.
