The members of Gesher Galicia's Steering Committee are deeply saddened by the death of our friend and Treasurer, Sheiala Moskow who died on November 12, 1998 in Annapolis, Maryland after a short illness. Sheiala had many friends and contacts in the worldwide Jewish genealogy community as she researched her GELERNTER and RATNER family. She subscribed to the JewishGen discussion group and regularly responded to its readers, mostly by private email. A longtime member of the JGS of Greater Washington, Sheiala attended many Summer Seminars, including NYC, Israel, Paris, and most recently in L.A. Sheiala made a major contribution to Gesher Galicia not only in her three years as treasurer, but with her wise and helpful advice. She will be missed. Shelley Kellerman Pollero |
