This site on Grodno genealogy facilitates Jewish family research. The areas included are that geographical area known under the Great Lithuanian Principality, the Rech Pospolitaya (Polish Principality and Lithuanian principality united), the Russian Empire, the Belorussian National Republic, Poland, the Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, and Belarus as Grodno (Guberniya, Province, or Oblast). Included is that portion of Belarus formerly belonging to Vilna Guberniya, now Lithuania. Today, this area primarily consists of the western portion of Belarus including Novogroduk as well as the eastern portion of Poland (including nearly all of Bialystok Provice but not Tykocin) and the southern tip of Lithuania including Druskininkai.
