Grodno SIG was founded by Jim Yarin in 1995. In 1997, an appointed advisory board planned reorganization of the SIG. In April 1998, Grodno Genealogy Group, Inc. was incorporated as a nonprofit corporation and succeeded Grodno SIG.   GGG Inc. is now governed by a Board of Directors elected at the Los Angeles Seminar.  Membership on that board includes:  Judith Deutch Bennett, Jay Lenefsky, Amy Levinson,  Ellen Shaffer Meyer, Ellen Sadove Renck, and Joanne Saltman.
• Amy Perlstein Levinson and Ellen Sadove Renck served as co-coordinators until the elections of July 1998. GGG, Inc.'s purpose is fostering of Jewish genealogical research of the former Grodno Guberniya.
• The first GGG, Inc. bulletin was released in June, 1998.  See the newsletter archive pages for

• GGG, Inc. encourages the establishment of Grodno Shtetl Study Groups for the furtherance of research.
